Vineet Kumar Singh Completes Thorough Scan for Authenticity in His Army Officer Role in ‘Match Fixing’

Mumbai, Jan 12 (NationPress) Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, who is eagerly anticipating the premiere of his latest film ‘Match Fixing: The Nation At Stake’, expressed his strong commitment to authentically representing his character, an Army officer, in the project.

The movie is inspired by the book ‘The Game Behind Saffron Terror’, authored by Kanwar Khatana, which presents a fictional narrative. The film also features Anuja Sathe and Manoj Joshi.

Vineet shared with IANS, “When my character is active in the field, he resembles a regular individual and blends into the environment. The less visible he is, the better. If three people are present and he goes unnoticed, that’s even more ideal. It was crucial for me to ensure that nothing went awry while I was in uniform, as I hold immense respect for the Indian Army. The role of defense is among the most esteemed professions. These thoughts were constantly in my mind.”

He further elaborated, “I aimed to avoid any errors on my part. There was a meticulous examination every time I donned the uniform, considering aspects like the cap's placement, its angle, the positioning of the badges, the correctness of the attire, and the appropriate salute.”

“Thanks to Kedar (the film's director), the level of preparation on set was commendable. A retired colonel, Mr. Aluwalia, was present almost daily. He even enjoyed the process so much that he would remain on set, even when we weren’t filming scenes in uniform,” he added.

Match Fixing: The Nation At Stake’ is currently showing in theaters.
