Mumbai, Aug 15 (NationPress) Actor Viineet Kumar Singh expresses that independence signifies more than just a date on the calendar; it embodies a sensation that intertwines freedom with responsibility.
“Even if you possess everything in the world, without freedom, there is suffocation. Independence is the most beautiful aspect of life, yet we must ensure that our freedom does not infringe upon others,” he stated.
For Viineet, the celebrations on the 15th of August have transformed over the years but continue to hold profound significance.
“Last year, while filming Jaat in Hyderabad alongside Sunny Deol, we raised the tricolor, sang the national anthem, and shared sweets. As a child, I polished my shoes, donned my uniform, participated in school parades, and relished the functions—those memories remain unforgettable,” he reflected.
Viineet paid his respects to all freedom fighters.
“Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had an extraordinary vision—he established an independent army for India. Gandhiji’s path continues to inspire globally. Heroes like Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh sacrificed everything for our nation. Their bravery and dedication will forever reside in my heart,” he shared.
He emphasized that freedom was a long and unified battle.
“Our independence was achieved through immense sacrifices. It was not an abrupt occurrence; it was a prolonged, collective struggle. On days like the 15th of August and the 26th of January, we must remember and honor those who made our freedom possible,” he stated.
When asked if he would like to portray any freedom fighter on screen, Viineet replied, “Netaji, Chandrashekhar Azad, and indeed, even Gandhiji. Portraying them would be a true honor.”
