Jaipur, May 15 (NationPress) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar stated on Thursday that Operation Sindoor represented a pivotal change in India's international reputation and military stance.
During the opening ceremony of the Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Memorial Library in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, Dhankhar emphasized that, for the first time, India ventured beyond its borders to target terror hideouts—and the global community did not request evidence.
“India has established a new global standard. Through a balanced show of strength and peace, we executed precise actions against the terrorist strongholds of Jaish-e-Muhammed and Lashkar-e-Toiba. No nation questioned our actions. The world recognized India's power,” the Vice President remarked.
Highlighting India’s growing global prominence, VP Dhankhar asserted that the operation was not just a military achievement but also a diplomatic victory, attributing this success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
He also noted that India suspended the Indus Water Treaty, underscoring India's assertive approach to foreign policy. Reflecting on the nuclear tests carried out in Pokhran during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s administration, Dhankhar remarked that Rajasthan has been the foundation of India's strength.
“Pokhran-II was a proclamation of India’s nuclear prowess. Today, India ranks as the fourth-largest global power, moving closer to the third position,” he highlighted.
Offering tribute to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, VP Dhankhar described the late leader as a proponent of the common individual and a model of transparent governance.
“As the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Shekhawat mandated all MPs to disclose their assets. He believed in the principle that there are no permanent adversaries in politics—a philosophy that we should embrace today,” he stated.
VP Dhankhar also acknowledged Chaudhary Devi Lal, expressing that both leaders held significant value in his life due to their commitment to integrity and public service.
The event witnessed the presence of Governor Haribhau Bagde, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, MP Madan Rathore, Narpat Singh Rajvi, Abhimanyu Singh Rajvi, along with various senior leaders.
