Ahmedabad, Feb 10 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, announced the launch of Adani Health City (AHC) in collaboration with the US-based Mayo Clinic, which is set to lead in world-class medical research, affordable healthcare, and education.

The Adani family is set to contribute over Rs 6,000 crore to establish the first two integrated health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. These campuses will feature two 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospitals and medical colleges located in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

This Rs 6,000 crore contribution is part of a larger announcement of a Rs 10,000 crore social donation by the billionaire industrialist during his son Jeet Adani’s wedding, aimed at various social initiatives.

Gautam Adani has plans for additional integrated Adani Health Cities in cities and towns nationwide, as indicated by the company.

“I am proud to unveil Adani Health City in partnership with Mayo Clinic, championing world-class medical research, affordable healthcare, and education,” stated the Adani Group Chairperson in a post on X.

“Beginning with two 1,000-bed hospitals and medical colleges in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge medical innovation across India. This is merely the start of a healthier, more robust India - one campus at a time,” the billionaire emphasized.

Mayo Clinic, the largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice globally, will lend its technical expertise to enhance healthcare quality.

Each AHC campus will include hospitals, medical colleges with an annual enrollment of 150 undergraduates, over 80 residents, and more than 40 fellows, alongside step-down and transitional care facilities, as well as state-of-the-art research environments.

The AHC medical framework aims to cater to individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds, train future doctors, and concentrate on clinical research, artificial intelligence, and biomedical informatics.

The Adani Group has partnered with Mayo Clinic Global Consulting (Mayo Clinic) to receive strategic guidance on organizational goals and clinical practices at these facilities.

Mayo Clinic will also offer expert insights into technology integration, focusing on digital innovations and improvements in healthcare quality.

“Two years ago, my family pledged Rs 60,000 crore as a gift for my 60th birthday to enhance healthcare, education, and skill development,” Gautam Adani remarked.

“The establishment of Adani Health City marks the initiation of many significant projects from this contribution, which will greatly benefit providing affordable, world-class healthcare to all segments of Indian society,” stated the Adani Group Chairman.

“I am confident that our collaboration with Mayo Clinic, the largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice, will elevate healthcare standards in India, particularly focused on complex disease care and medical innovation,” he added.

Mayo Clinic extends its expertise to independent healthcare providers wherever they are situated.
