New Delhi, Nov 19 (NationPress) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to broaden opportunities for students while also significantly enhancing the productivity of educators, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the positive potential it holds, as stated by S. Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY.

During his address at the AI Impact Festival—an official precursor to the India-AI Impact Summit 2026—he articulated these insights.

Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, remarked, “The best path forward emerges when all stakeholders, from government to industry to the youth, engage in thoughtful dialogue regarding policy approaches.”

The event welcomed students, educators, startup founders, industry innovators, and AI experts from across the nation to celebrate the rise of AI talent, grassroots innovations, and widespread skilling initiatives.

Encouraging students to engage in global challenges as part of the India-AI Impact Summit, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary of MeitY, CEO of IndiaAI, and DG of NIC, stated, “If you’re developing an AI application, I urge you to take part in the YUVAi- Global Impact Challenge.”

He further highlighted the introduction of AI by Her, a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting and showcasing women-led AI solutions. “We are eager to see many of you participating in these initiatives. Those whose solutions exhibit significant impact will be chosen for support and honored at the Summit,” he added.

The festival showcased a vibrant series of sessions that highlighted India’s growing AI capabilities and inspired young innovators.

The day commenced with the unveiling of the AI Impact Stories Compendium, followed by the AI Horizon Summit organized by Sustainable Living Labs.

Notable sessions included discussions on sector-specific AI skilling, the evolution of AI to Agentic AI, a panel celebrating Women Leaders in AI, and targeted conversations on Frugal AI and cost-effective solutions utilizing Intel CPUs and Kompact AI.
