Cupertino (California), March 2 (NationPress) On Monday, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17e, a robust and budget-friendly member of the iPhone 17 series. This model is powered by the cutting-edge A19 chip for improved speed, boasts an advanced camera setup, increased durability, the enchanting MagSafe feature, and offers double the initial storage at 256GB.

The iPhone 17e also incorporates the C1X modem, which Apple has designed to provide speeds that are up to twice as fast as its predecessor, the C1 used in the iPhone 16e.

Equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera, users can capture breathtaking images, including next-gen portrait shots, alongside 4K Dolby Vision video recording. This camera system also includes a telephoto lens, providing optical-quality 2x zoom—effectively delivering the functionality of two cameras in one.

The device features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, enhanced with Ceramic Shield 2, which offers three times the scratch resistance compared to the prior generation and minimizes glare.

Offered in three colors with an elegant matte finish—black, white, and a charming new soft pink—the iPhone 17e will be available for pre-orders starting March 4, with official sales commencing on March 11.

The starting price for the iPhone 17e is Rs 64,900 for the 256GB variant, which is double the entry-level storage of the previous model at the same price point, and four times that of the iPhone 12—providing ample space for high-resolution photos, 4K videos, apps, and games.

The iPhone 17e ensures outstanding all-day battery life, facilitated by the efficiencies of Apple silicon, including the C1X modem, alongside the advanced power management capabilities of iOS 26.

Additionally, Apple introduced the new iPad Air featuring the M4 chip and increased memory, offering users a significant performance boost without raising prices.

With a superior CPU and GPU, the iPad Air enhances tasks such as video editing and gaming, making it a formidable device for AI applications, thanks to its faster Neural Engine, greater memory bandwidth, and 50% more unified system memory compared to its predecessor.

With the M4 chip, the new iPad Air is up to 30% quicker than the previous M3 model and up to 2.3 times faster than the M1 variant.

The latest iPad Air also features state-of-the-art connectivity chips, N1 and C1X, providing rapid wireless and cellular connections and supporting Wi-Fi 7, allowing users to work and unleash their creativity wherever they are.

The iPad Air is priced at Rs 64,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 84,900 for the 13-inch variant, representing exceptional value.

For educational institutions, the 11-inch iPad Air starts at Rs 59,900 and the 13-inch model at Rs 79,900.

Customers can pre-order the iPad Air starting March 4, with availability kicking off on March 11, according to the company.
