Cupertino (California), Feb 19 (NationPress) Apple has officially revealed the iPhone 16e, a fresh member of the iPhone 16 series that delivers exceptional features at a budget-friendly price.
The iPhone 16e provides rapid and fluid performance along with remarkable battery longevity, attributed to the cutting-edge efficiency of the A18 chip and the innovative Apple C1, the first cellular modem crafted by Apple.
This model is designed for Apple Intelligence, an advanced personal intelligence system aimed at providing useful insights while enhancing privacy in AI.
The device will be offered in white and black with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, starting at Rs 59,900, as stated by the company.
According to Apple, the 48MP Fusion camera captures stunning photos and videos, and with an integrated 2x Telephoto, users can enjoy the benefit of two cameras in one for optical-quality zoom.
The iPhone 16e will come in two stylish matte shades—black and white—with vibrant cases available for customization. Pre-orders will kick off on Friday, with the device becoming available on February 28.
“The iPhone 16e encompasses all the beloved features of the iPhone 16 series, including outstanding battery life, speedy performance powered by the state-of-the-art A18 chip, a unique 2-in-1 camera system, and Apple Intelligence,” stated Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.
The iPhone 16e is engineered for durability, featuring splash, water, and dust resistance with an IP68 rating; a Ceramic Shield front cover made with an advanced formulation that surpasses any smartphone glass in toughness; and the sturdiest back glass seen in a smartphone.
The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology boasts an edge-to-edge design, ideal for enjoying HDR videos, gaming, and reading sharp text.
The iPhone 16e is powered by Apple’s next-generation A18 chip, which offers quick, seamless performance, extraordinary power efficiency, and Apple Intelligence. The 6-core CPU is up to 80 percent faster than the A13 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 11, adeptly managing both routine and demanding tasks with ease—from simple operations to more complex functions utilizing Apple Intelligence.
As per Prabhu Ram, VP-Industry Research Group, CyberMedia Research (CMR), the new iPhone 16e signifies a key strategy by Apple to maintain growth in India while revitalizing demand in established markets.
This latest iPhone represents a significant milestone for Apple, moving the company closer to comprehensive control over its end-to-end platform, seamlessly merging hardware and software, he added.
