New Delhi, June 16 (NationPress) Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head of its operations in India.
This decision follows Sandhya Devanathan assuming an expanded position overseeing both India and Southeast Asia.
“We are bringing Arun Srinivas on board as the Managing Director and Head for Meta in India, following the recent news of Sandhya Devanathan expanding her role to lead both India and South East Asia,” the tech company stated in a release.
In his new and broadened capacity, Srinivas will concentrate on aligning the organization’s business, innovation, and revenue objectives to better serve partners and clients, while also supporting Meta’s long-term commitment to growth in India.
The tech giant indicated that he will lead the India strategy and enhance strategic partnerships with the country’s top brands, advertisers, developers, and collaborators to accelerate market growth.
Srinivas is set to transition into his new role on July 1, 2025, and will continue to report directly to Devanathan, according to the company.
“With India positioned as a leader in economic growth and innovation, we are thrilled to have Arun spearheading our initiatives in this essential market,” remarked Devanathan, Vice President (India and South East Asia) at Meta.
Meta is making significant strides in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels in India, and Arun’s extensive experience in building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and nurturing robust partnerships makes him the perfect fit to lead Meta’s ongoing investment in the region.
“He will continue to collaborate closely with me as we expand our business in India,” Devanathan further added.
With a postgraduate degree from IIM Kolkata, Srinivas brings nearly three decades of expertise in sales and marketing leadership roles at firms including Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and investment firm WestBridge Capital.
Currently, he serves as the Director and Head of Ads Business in India. Since joining in 2020, he has been instrumental in guiding Meta’s initiatives with the country’s largest advertisers and agency partners, focusing on strategic revenue priorities such as AI, Reels, and Messaging.
