New Delhi, June 1 (NationPress) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has recently appointed its new office bearers for the term 2025-26, with Rajiv Memani, the Chairman and CEO of EY India, stepping into the role of CII President.
Memani succeeds Sanjiv Puri, the Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd, as confirmed by the apex industry chamber in an official release.
In addition to his role at EY, Memani is a member of the EY Global Executive Board and serves as the Chair of its Growth Markets Council.
He is recognized as a key advisor to major Indian corporations, private equity firms, and multinational entities, primarily focusing on enhancing confidence, mergers and acquisitions, technology integration, and strategic capital allocation.
In his capacity in Emerging Markets (EM), he plays a crucial role in promoting EY’s growth agenda in these regions, aligning their objectives with the firm’s global investments.
Before taking on the position of Chairman and CEO, Memani was pivotal in establishing EY India’s top-tier Corporate Finance (now known as Strategy & Transactions) practice in the late 1990s. He also held the position of President-Designate of the CII for 2024-25 and served as Vice President for the year 2023-24.
R Mukundan, the Managing Director and CEO of Tata Chemicals Limited, has been appointed as the CII President-Designate for the upcoming 2025-26 term, as announced by the business chamber.
Mukundan began his journey with the Tata Administrative Service in 1990, after earning his MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Roorkee, a Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society, and a graduate of Harvard Business School.
Dr Suchitra K Ella, the Co-founder and Managing Director of Bharat Biotech International Limited, will serve as the CII Vice President for 2025-26. She played a significant role in establishing Bharat Biotech in 1996.
Over the last decade, Dr. Ella has co-founded and supported numerous enterprises in veterinary sciences, agri-biotech parks, food processing, and pre-clinical toxicology research, as stated by CII.
