DoPPW to host 9th Anubhav Awards and 60th PRC Workshop on August 17
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) will host the 9th National Anubhav Awards Ceremony and the 60th Pre-Retirement Counselling (PRC) Workshop at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 17 August 2026. Both events will be held under the auspices of Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh.
Anubhav Awards: Recognising Nation-Builders
The 9th National Anubhav Awards 2026 will honour 15 selected awardees who have made notable contributions to nation-building through participation in key government initiatives. Dr Singh will personally confer the awards during the ceremony.
The recognised contributions span a range of initiatives, including the Passport Seva Kendra programme, the repeal of outdated administrative rules and formulation of updated regulations, technological adaptation in administration and accounting, and energy conservation efforts.
What the Anubhav Platform Does
The 'Anubhav' platform serves as a knowledge-sharing forum for retiring and retired employees of the Central Government, 12 Public Sector Banks, and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). It enables former and outgoing government servants to document and share their professional experiences and contributions from years of public service.
60th PRC Workshop: Guidance for Retiring Employees
The 60th Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop is designed primarily for Central government employees posted in the National Capital Region (NCR) who are approaching retirement. The session will walk participants through the procedures and processes required to ensure timely payment of retirement benefits.
Notably, the programme will also see the release of the Handbook on Pension Mitra and the Guidelines for the nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5 — both aimed at streamlining pensioner services and reducing delays in benefit disbursement.
Bank Exhibition and Other Highlights
A dedicated Bank Exhibition will run alongside the main events, with 17 pension-disbursing banks showcasing products and services tailored to the needs of retiring government employees. The exhibition offers outgoing staff a direct interface with institutions that will manage their post-retirement financial welfare.
The twin events reflect the Centre's continuing push to modernise pension administration and institutionalise the recognition of retiring civil servants' contributions — with the DLC Campaign 5 guidelines expected to expand digital verification of pensioner life certificates across the country.
