This initiative aims to address grievances of family pensioners and super senior pensioners.

The Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DOPPW) will spearhead the month-long Special Campaign 2.0, which will take place from July 1-31, focusing on the prompt and effective resolution of grievances for Central government family pensioners and super senior pensioners.
DOPPW will oversee the campaign's execution. A total of 2210 pension grievances have been identified and shared with 51 Ministries/Departments and government organizations for resolution as part of this campaign, with a call to widely share success stories and best practices through Press Information Bureau announcements and tweets.

A preparatory meeting, chaired by the Secretary (Pension), took place on June 11, 2025, with Nodal Officers responsible for pensioners’ grievances.
DOPPW is closely monitoring the status of grievances daily and has reported that the campaign is already gaining traction, as evidenced by the resolution of over 25 percent of identified cases thus far.
The campaign's official hashtag is #SpecialCampaignFamilyPension2.0.
In terms of welfare measures, the minister also announced that Central government employees under the Unified Pension Scheme will now qualify for retirement and death gratuity benefits.
