New Delhi, Oct 18 (NationPress) The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) introduced Global Tender Services (GTS) on Saturday, marking a pivotal step towards enhancing the global presence of Indian exporters, particularly MSMEs.
Managed by FIEO, GTS is now operational on the Indian Trade Portal, a comprehensive platform for trade-related insights and facilitation.
“Launching GTS on Dhanteras symbolizes new beginnings and prosperity. This platform serves as a gateway to the world for Indian exporters,” stated Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of FIEO.
“By granting access to global tenders, GTS empowers our businesses to compete on an international scale with agility and confidence. This represents a vital transformation in India’s export strategy for the digital age,” he further explained.
GTS operates as a subscription-based, real-time tender aggregation platform, providing Indian enterprises with daily access to over 15,000 live international tenders, sourced from more than 8,000 verified channels across over 150 countries.
“Connecting Indian exporters with procurement opportunities from major development banks, government agencies, public-private partnerships, multilateral institutions, and global corporations, GTS simplifies access that was previously fragmented or hard to find,” FIEO announced.
GTS taps into opportunities from esteemed organizations like the World Bank, ADB, UNICEF, USAID, and various national and sub-national procurement authorities globally, ensuring that exporters receive only credible and actionable leads.
FIEO emphasizes that, with smart filters, sector and region-specific dashboards, and AI-driven search capabilities, GTS enables users to efficiently track, shortlist, and act upon global tender opportunities.
Designed to not only inform but also empower, it reduces the complexities and costs associated with global bidding, significantly enhancing success rates.
The launch of GTS holds special importance as India intensifies its involvement in international trade negotiations, especially under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
For the first time, India has opened its Government Procurement sector under a bilateral trade agreement—a major policy alteration that offers Indian businesses reciprocal access to UK government procurement opportunities.
As India pursues similar arrangements with other trade partners, Indian exporters will require robust, real-time insights into foreign procurement systems. GTS equips them to capitalize on emerging global government tenders, navigate intricate bidding environments, and align with shifting trade commitments.
