Upon completion of the acquisition, Wiz will integrate into Google Cloud. This move signifies Google's commitment to enhancing two significant trends in the era of AI—elevated cloud security and the functionality of utilizing multiple clouds (multi-cloud).
“Since our inception, Google has prioritized security, establishing us as a leader in safeguarding individuals online. Today, organizations and governments operating in the cloud seek even more robust security solutions along with diverse options in cloud computing providers,” stated Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google.
“The collaboration between Google Cloud and Wiz will propel advancements in cloud security and multi-cloud capabilities,” Pichai continued.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, emphasized that both Google Cloud and Wiz share a unified vision of making cybersecurity simpler and more accessible for organizations of all sizes and sectors.
“Empowering more businesses to thwart cyber threats, especially within intricate software environments, will aid organizations in reducing the costs, disruptions, and inconveniences linked to cybersecurity incidents,” Kurian remarked.
Both the cybersecurity and cloud computing sectors are expanding rapidly, offering a broad spectrum of solutions.
The growing influence of AI and the increased adoption of cloud services have significantly altered the security landscape for clients, heightening the necessity for cybersecurity in mitigating emerging risks and ensuring national security.
“Wiz and Google Cloud are wholeheartedly dedicated to continuing their support and protection of customers across all major cloud platforms, ensuring their safety wherever they operate,” remarked Assaf Rappaport, Co-Founder and CEO of Wiz.
Wiz provides an intuitive security platform that links to all major clouds and coding environments, aiming to prevent cybersecurity incidents. Organizations of all types—from startups and large corporations to governments and public sector entities—can leverage Wiz to safeguard everything they construct and manage in the cloud.
