Seoul, April 29 (NationPress) Hyundai Motor announced on Tuesday the launch of an upgraded version of its Xcient heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell truck during a clean transport exhibition in the United States.
The enhanced Xcient, featuring a newly developed hydrogen fuel cell system, was presented at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2025 held in Anaheim, California, on Monday (US time), according to reports from Yonhap news agency.
Hyundai Motor stated that the revamped Xcient is designed to accommodate various customer requirements, including port transportation and medium-distance logistics. It is powered by a 180 kilowatt-hour (kWh) hydrogen fuel cell system.
To facilitate hydrogen storage, the vehicle is equipped with 10 tanks that collectively hold approximately 68 kilograms of hydrogen, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of commercial transportation applications.
Ken Ramirez, the head of Hyundai Motor's global commercial vehicle and hydrogen division, highlighted the company's commitment to delivering practical, production-ready solutions for the transport sector.
