New Delhi, Aug 20 (NationPress) Global retail giant IKEA is set to significantly enhance its presence in India by doubling the number of its stores and customer touchpoints within the next 12 to 18 months, as revealed by Jesper Brodin, CEO of Ingka Group, which oversees IKEA on a global scale.
This expansion will encompass both large-format stores and smaller outlets strategically located in malls and urban centers.
Brodin emphasized the company's dedication to rapid growth in India, with plans to increase local sourcing from the current 30 percent to 50 percent by 2030 as a key component of its long-term strategy.
He also shared that IKEA aims to establish 5–6 new customer touchpoints in India every year for the next five years, effectively doubling its store and customer service center count nationwide.
