In an interview with IANS at the event, Sandeep Saxena, Technology and Solutions Head at Nokia Networks, expressed that this year’s IMC theme, 'Innovate to Transform', resonates perfectly with the company’s mission.

With almost 30 years of operation in India, there remains considerable potential for growth, he noted.

Over the years, Nokia has transformed as a company, establishing its manufacturing and research and development hubs in the country, and aligning closely with government policies and initiatives, Saxena stated.

The Nokia executive emphasized that the company is a global leader in technology and innovation. 'We innovate to transform the world and improve lives,’ he stated.

This year, Nokia is presenting various facets of its technological advancements, including an AI zone showcasing how artificial intelligence is embedded across core, radio, and transport segments.

On the other hand, Nitin Jain, Executive Vice President of Digital and Partnership at Vodafone Idea, shared how the company demonstrates technology's role in upskilling individuals through self-learning tools driven by mixed reality, AI, and 4G/5G connectivity under the Skill India initiative.

'We have highlighted several use cases, and while I’m unsure if everyone explored them all, I want to point out a few,' Jain remarked.

'One key area is fraud prevention—leveraging technology, data, and AI to identify potential fraud and spam, thus safeguarding our customers,' he added.

Earlier that day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the 'Made-in-India 4G stack is now ready for export,' emphasizing the country's growing footprint in global technology markets.

This progress underscores the power of the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision' and India's telecom advancements over the past decade, he stated during the opening session of IMC 2025.

The Prime Minister pointed out that nearly every district in the nation now enjoys 5G connectivity, marking a significant leap from the era when India faced challenges with 2G networks.
