New Delhi, July 13 (NationPress) This week, India's startup funding reached approximately $95 million, with investments flowing into 17 startups at various stages of growth.

Among these, five were categorized as growth-stage deals, while ten were early-stage, and two startups opted to keep their funding details confidential.

Bengaluru-based startups dominated the scene with six deals, followed by Delhi-NCR, which recorded four.

Other cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad also participated in the funding landscape.

This week, the fintech sector emerged as the frontrunner, securing four deals.

Following closely were deeptech and SaaS startups, each with two deals, while proptech, foodtech, and OTT startups also attracted investment.

Seed funding rounds were the most prevalent this week, with seven deals. Series A and pre-Series A rounds each saw two deals, while pre-IPO, debt, and Series B rounds also made an appearance.

The average startup funding over the past eight weeks is around $205.24 million, averaging roughly 21 deals weekly.

Growth and late-stage startups collectively amassed $72.9 million, with the IPO-bound proptech company Smartworks leading the charge by securing $20 million in a pre-IPO round.

The education-focused NBFC Varthana raised Rs 159 crore (approximately $18.5 million) through debt financing.

Additionally, clean-label food brand Kehtika raised $18 million in a Series B round led by Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office and Anicut Capital.

Fintech company Credit Wise Capital and Avis Hospital also made it to the funding list this week.

In the early-stage category, ten startups raised a cumulative $22.11 million. The tech-enabled NBFC InPrime Finserv took the lead in this segment, raising $6 million in its Series A round from Pravega Ventures.

Other noteworthy startups that secured funds include the NRI-focused fintech platform Belong, the OTT microdrama application Chai Bisket, home services startup Clean Fanatics, and deeptech firm Green Aero.

In addition, cybersecurity startup LdotR and SaaS platform Monetize360 also obtained capital but chose not to disclose the amounts.

In strategic moves, workspace solution provider Incuspaze has acquired VSKOUT, a B2B SaaS platform specializing in curated data analytics for commercial real estate.

In a separate transaction, Infinity Fincorp Solution, a non-bank lender, has signed a share purchase and subscription agreement with global investment firm Partners Group, which will acquire a significant majority stake in the company.
