Kazan (Russia), Oct 8 (NationPress) The vibrant Ayush traditions of India are on full display at the Tatarstan India Mutual Efficiency (TIME) Business Forum, which commenced in Kazan on Wednesday. This event highlights the collaborative economic projects between India and Russia in technology, health, and banking, showcasing the robust bilateral cooperation and innovation.
Participants can expect active business interactions and high-level discussions on topics such as health and labor mobility, complemented by cultural presentations including diverse Indian films and a friendly cricket match.
The Indian delegation is spearheaded by Ambassador Vinay Kumar.
During a meeting with H.E. Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ambassador Kumar emphasized the strengthening of India-Russia relations and the ongoing collaboration between Tatarstan and India, which will see a significant uplift with the impending establishment of an Indian Consulate General in Kazan.
The high-level delegation includes representatives from the Indian Ministry of Ayush, senior officials from the Telangana government, the Mayor of Agra, business leaders, spiritual figures, and film personalities.
At the TIME Business Forum plenary session titled 'Russia and India: Time to Cooperate, Time for Regions', Ambassador Kumar pointed out that, as the world's fastest-growing economy, India presents substantial opportunities for Kazan businesses looking to invest and expand, particularly in sector-specific industrial corridors.
India's demographic advantage can also serve Tatarstan's industries through skilled migration and capacity building. The establishment of an Indian Consulate in Kazan will further enhance ties between India and Tatarstan, the ambassador noted during the forum.
He also toured the TIME India-Russia Business Forum exhibition alongside Tatarstan's Prime Minister, Aleksei Pesoshin. The exhibition highlighted India's rich AYUSH traditions and joint economic initiatives in technology, health, and banking, showcasing the strong bilateral cooperation and innovation.
Earlier, Ambassador Kumar inaugurated the Centre for Indian Studies at Kazan Federal University, a project supported by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
