New Delhi, Feb 11 (NationPress) The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced a substantial increase of 13.7 percent in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 341 crore for the October-December quarter of the ongoing financial year, compared to Rs 300 crore during the same period last year.
During this quarter, IRCTC's total revenue from operations surged by 10 percent to Rs 1224.7 crore, up from Rs 1,115.5 crore in the previous year, according to an exchange filing.
The board of directors at Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) sanctioned a second interim dividend of Rs 3 per share alongside its financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25) on Tuesday, February 11.

The public sector unit (PSU) has set Thursday, February 20 as the record date to ascertain the eligibility of shareholders for receiving the interim dividend.
A detailed revenue segment analysis shows that earnings from the catering segment grew to Rs 554.81 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 507.76 crore in Q2 FY25, marking a growth of 9.26 percent. Furthermore, the packaged water segment Rail Neer experienced a 15.02 percent YoY growth, totaling Rs 96.35 crore.
The revenue from internet ticketing saw an increase of 5.4 percent, amounting to Rs 353.72 crore in the December quarter. The tourism segment also recorded a 16 percent YoY increase, reaching Rs 223.73 crore.
For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation reported a 4.5 percent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 307.8 crore, compared to Rs 294.7 crore in the previous year. Revenue from operations for this period stood at Rs 1064 crore, reflecting a 7.3 percent year-on-year increase. In the prior year, standalone revenues were Rs 992 crore.
