Indore, Oct 2 (NationPress) In a significant announcement during Vijayadashami, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed plans to recruit over 20,000 new personnel into the Madhya Pradesh Police, marking one of the most substantial expansions of the state's security force in recent years.

The announcement was made during the Shastra Poojan ceremony at the Police Lines in Indore, where tradition and modernity merged in a symbolic tribute to discipline, courage, and public service.

“In the near future, we will fill more than 20,000 positions within the Madhya Pradesh Police to enhance public safety. On this auspicious Vijayadashami, I had the honor of attending the Shastra Poojan ceremony here in Indore—Mother Ahilya’s city. During this event, I launched 'SafeClicks', an AI-driven chatbot aimed at fighting cybercrime,” the Chief Minister shared on his X handle.

During his speech, Dr. Yadav stressed that this recruitment initiative will not only bolster law enforcement but also generate significant employment opportunities throughout the state.

He characterized this effort as a move toward strengthening public safety and modernizing the police force to tackle emerging challenges, particularly in areas such as cybercrime and traffic management.

As part of the ceremony, the Chief Minister also unveiled Safe Click, an AI-powered chatbot devised by the Indore Police. This chatbot, activated through a QR code scan, is intended to provide citizens with real-time information concerning traffic and security.

Indore now stands as the first city in Madhya Pradesh to implement this innovative technology, which is expected to expand into additional domains and districts.

Police Commissioner, Santosh Kumar Singh, clarified that the chatbot utilizes open-source data and enables users to engage through either voice or text. Its goal is to streamline access to police services and enhance responsiveness to citizen inquiries.

This initiative mirrors the state's growing commitment to digital governance and smart policing.

Yadav also highlighted the cultural importance of Vijayadashami, referring to it as a festival celebrating the victory of good over evil and the values of bravery and duty. He encouraged the widespread observance of the Shastra Poojan tradition across districts, alongside the ceremonial Ravan Dahan, to strengthen the moral and civic spirit of the occasion.

The Chief Minister inspected the armory, honored police vehicles, and received a Guard of Honour. The Armed Police Force band performed devotional hymns, contributing a spiritual ambiance to the day's events.

With a dual emphasis on recruitment and innovation, the state government has signaled its commitment to building a more robust, intelligent, and citizen-focused police force.
