New Delhi, April 10 (NationPress) Nandan Reddy, one of the co-founders of Swiggy, has officially resigned from his position effective immediately, as disclosed in a recent exchange filing on Friday.

According to reports, Reddy is gearing up to embark on a new entrepreneurial journey by launching his own startup.

He was instrumental in Swiggy's formative stages, collaborating closely with co-founder and group CEO Sriharsha Majety to establish the company's operations.

Lakshmi Nandan Reddy Obul, WholeTime Director – Head of Innovation, has resigned as of April 10, 2026, to pursue other professional interests,” the company stated in its filing.

Throughout his tenure, Reddy held various positions within the company, most recently heading “Crew,” Swiggy’s AI-driven concierge service.

This departure signifies yet another significant shift in Swiggy's leadership structure. Previously, co-founder Rahul Jaimini exited in 2020 to start his own venture.

With Reddy's exit, he joins the ranks of former co-founders who have moved on from the organization.

Currently, Swiggy’s Vice President Aakash Bhotika, who has been involved with Crew, will maintain oversight of operations, and the firm has yet to announce a permanent successor for Reddy's position.

In response to the news, Majety remarked that Reddy has been a “visionary force” in transitioning Swiggy from a small startup based in Bengaluru to a nationwide entity catering to millions of customers.

While Reddy's daily presence will be missed, Majety expressed confidence in his future endeavors.

This change occurs shortly after another key departure, with Abhishek Agarwal, the head of investor relations, also leaving the company.

Simultaneously, board-level transitions are underway. Roger Clark Rabalais will resign as nominee director of Prosus, Swiggy's largest shareholder with over a 20% stake, and will be succeeded by Renan De Castro Alves Pinto.

Swiggy is also looking to bolster its board by proposing the inclusion of co-founder and Chief Growth Officer Phani Kishan and Chief Financial Officer Rahul Bothra as board members, pending shareholder approval.

Point of View

The resignation of Nandan Reddy marks a pivotal moment in Swiggy's journey. As the company navigates through these leadership changes, the focus will be on how it adapts and evolves in a competitive landscape. The outlook remains optimistic, with potential new opportunities on the horizon.
