New Delhi, Oct 28 (NationPress) On Tuesday, OpenAI declared that it will provide complimentary access to ChatGPT Go for a full year to all users in India who register during a special promotional window beginning on November 4.

This initiative is part of OpenAI's commemoration of its inaugural DevDay Exchange event, which is also taking place in Bengaluru on the same date.

ChatGPT Go represents OpenAI's recently introduced subscription option, granting users access to numerous advanced functionalities of the platform, such as increased message limits, enhanced image generation, extended memory, and the capacity to upload additional files and images.

All these capabilities are driven by OpenAI's cutting-edge GPT-5 model.

The subscription plan was initially rolled out in India in August this year, following user requests for a more economical method to access ChatGPT's sophisticated tools.

Remarkably, within just one month of launching, the count of paid ChatGPT users in India surged more than twofold.

In response to this robust demand, OpenAI subsequently extended ChatGPT Go to nearly 90 countries globally.

Currently, India stands as ChatGPT's second-largest market and one of the fastest growing.

Millions of individuals across the nation—including students, professionals, and developers—are utilizing ChatGPT daily to enhance their skills, fuel creativity, and create innovative projects.

This new initiative underscores OpenAI's persistent “India-first” strategy and aligns with the government's IndiaAI Mission, which seeks to broaden access to artificial intelligence tools and foster innovation throughout the country.

OpenAI is actively collaborating with civil society organizations, educational platforms, and government-led initiatives to enhance the accessibility and inclusivity of AI tools.

Moreover, existing ChatGPT Go subscribers in India will also qualify for the free 12-month offer, with additional details forthcoming.
