The manufacturer stated that the GST 2.0 reforms will render Suzuki two-wheelers and spare parts more affordable and accessible nationwide.
Recently, the central government implemented GST 2.0, which lowered indirect tax rates from 28 percent to 18 percent for all two-wheelers up to 350cc and auto components.
These reforms aim to streamline taxation and provide direct advantages to consumers.
To align with this initiative, SMIPL has conducted a thorough revision of its pricing across all motorcycle and scooter variants.
In addition to two-wheelers, the reduced GST on spare parts and accessories will directly contribute to lower maintenance expenses, thereby enhancing the overall ownership experience for Suzuki customers, the company reported.
“Our customers are always at the heart of our operations. We applaud the Government of India’s GST 2.0 reforms, which represent a significant stride towards making mobility more affordable for the general populace. In line with our customer-first philosophy, we are passing on the full benefits of these reforms on both our two-wheelers and spare parts, thereby decreasing both purchase and maintenance costs,” stated Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd.
This initiative, arriving just prior to the festive season, is anticipated to further elevate customer sentiment, make our offerings more appealing, and significantly boost demand in the two-wheeler sector.
The revised prices will take effect on September 22.
