New Delhi, July 8 (NationPress) Tata Motors' global wholesales, which include Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), reached 299,664 units in the first quarter of FY26. This represents a 9 percent decline compared to 329,847 units in the same quarter of FY25, as reported in an exchange filing on Tuesday.
The filing revealed that global wholesales for Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range totaled 87,569 units for the quarter ending in June, marking a 6 percent decrease from the first quarter of FY25.
Passenger car sales saw a 10 percent drop, totaling 124,809 units compared to the previous fiscal year.
Jaguar Land Rover's global sales also fell, with 87,286 cars sold during the quarter, indicating an 11 percent decrease year-over-year. Jaguar's sales were 2,339 units, while Land Rover accounted for 84,947 units.
The company reported an overall 8.47 percent decline in total sales, with 210,415 units sold in the April-June quarter, down from 229,891 units in FY25.
Both passenger and commercial vehicle sales in India experienced declines, with passenger vehicle sales down 10 percent to 124,809 units, and commercial vehicle sales decreased 6 percent year over year (YoY) to 85,606 units.
In June 2025, Tata Motors' domestic sales fell by 12 percent compared to June 2024. However, there were some bright spots for the company, particularly with a rapid 68 percent increase in international sales of commercial vehicles.
In the first quarter of FY26, Tata Motors sold 124,809 passenger vehicles, including 16,231 electric vehicles. Despite a 10 percent YoY decline in total passenger vehicle sales, EV sales showed signs of recovery towards the end of the quarter.
