New Delhi, April 9 (NationPress) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading player in the IT services sector, has announced a modest increase in its attrition rate, which now stands at 13.7% for the fourth quarter (Q4), up from 13.5% the previous year. This tech giant also reported an addition of 2,356 employees in the March quarter, bringing the total headcount to 584,519, compared to 582,163.

The company highlighted that women constitute 35.2% of its overall workforce. However, there was a notable reduction of 30,906 employees since the first quarter of FY26 due to a restructuring initiative.

On an annual timeline, the total workforce decreased by 23,460 from 607,979 in the same period last year.

“We are thrilled to announce annual salary increments applicable across all levels starting from April 1. In Q4, our investment in a future-oriented workforce continued with significant recruitment of both experienced professionals and fresh graduates,” remarked Sudeep Kunnumal, Chief HR Officer.

He further elaborated, “Cultivating an AI-driven culture and preparing our employees with AI-centric skills has been a top priority in FY26 and will remain so in FY27 as we adapt to our clients’ changing demands.”

In July 2025, TCS had revealed intentions to reduce its workforce by 2% particularly focusing on middle and senior management levels.

The company also reported a 12% year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit for the January–March quarter (Q4 FY26), achieving a profit of Rs 13,718 crore, compared to Rs 12,224 crore in Q4 FY25, as noted in its exchange filing.

Furthermore, TCS's consolidated revenue from operations experienced a robust 9.6% year-on-year increase, reaching Rs 70,698 crore, up from Rs 64,479 crore in Q4 FY25.

Sequentially, TCS demonstrated even more significant progress, with profits soaring 28.7% quarter-on-quarter, while revenue climbed 5.4%.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director K Krithivasan commented on the results, stating that the company has achieved its third consecutive quarter of sequential growth.
