Mumbai, Nov 1 (NationPress) Fueled by GST reforms and robust festive demand, India's two-wheeler sales witnessed a remarkable surge, with major manufacturers reporting a sales growth ranging from 8 to 11 percent in October 2025.
TVS Motor Company, based in Chennai, announced that its monthly sales reached 5,43,557 units, reflecting an impressive 11 percent year-on-year increase, as per the company’s statement on Saturday.
Sales of two-wheelers saw a commendable 10 percent rise, totaling 525,150 units, alongside a significant 21 percent growth in overall international business sales, which reached 1,15,806 units.
Internationally, two-wheeler sales escalated by 18 percent, climbing from 87,670 units in October 2024 to 103,519 units in October 2025. Domestic sales for TVS also rose by 8 percent year-on-year, achieving 4,21,631 units in October.
Motorcycle sales surged by 16 percent to reach 266,715 units, while scooter sales increased by 7 percent to 205,919 units. Sales for electric vehicles climbed by 11 percent to 32,387 units, with the three-wheeler sector experiencing a remarkable growth of 70 percent to 18,407 units.
While retail EV sales remain strong, the availability of magnets continues to present challenges in the short to medium term, the company acknowledged.
On the other hand, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. reported impressive sales of 129,261 units, marking an 8 percent increase year-on-year. The company achieved a record high in retail sales, reaching 140,679 units in October.
Domestic sales accounted for 103,454 units, while exports soared by 71 percent to 25,807 units. Suzuki also reported spare parts sales totaling Rs 857 million for the month.
