Mumbai, Feb 6 (NationPress) The nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, graced us with countless timeless melodies. It has been three years since the legendary singer ascended to the heavens on 6th February. To honor her remarkable journey, Jabalpur artist Ramkripal Namdev has illustrated various milestones of Lata Mangeshkar's life on canvas.
He crafted a stunning painting that incorporates around 1436 images of the beloved singer. This artwork has earned a spot in the Limca Book of Records, as well as recognition from the Asia Book and the India Book of Records.
Ramkripal Namdev shared that he was deeply inspired by Lata Mangeshkar's enchanting voice, which motivated him to create this painting.
The artist also mentioned that he once sent one of his artworks to Lata Mangeshkar. Although he was unable to meet her, he entrusted the painting to her secretary, requesting her signature. However, she declined, stating that the painting was so exquisite that signing it would only detract from its beauty. Ultimately, Ramkripal Namdev had the opportunity to present the painting to Lata Mangeshkar in person, and she graciously signed it.
Despite being an amateur painter, Ramkripal Namdev regards this creation as the pinnacle of his achievements. He also highlighted the 'Chitra Latika' series, which features exhibitions of Lata Mangeshkar's paintings across major cities in India. These exhibitions have taken place at esteemed locations such as the Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, Pu L Deshpande Art Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi, Jamini Roy Art Gallery in Kolkata, Ravi Shankar Rawal Art Bhavan in Ahmedabad, and Hiralal Rai Art Vivika in Jabalpur.
