Mumbai, Dec 23 (NationPress) Actor Abhishek Bachchan reflected on his ‘mundan’ ceremony and emphasized how the same family that once styled his legendary father Amitabh Bachchan has maintained this bond through generations, evolving a professional connection into a treasured “family” relationship.
A video clip shared by renowned hairstylist Aalim Hakim featured Abhishek praising him as a “genius”, noting that he has been managing his hair for so long that he has truly lost track.
“You all know him, Aalim the genius. Aalim has been doing my hair for so long that I’ve lost count, and this is a family relationship,” he shared.
As nostalgia set in, the hairstylist reminded Abhishek of the fact that his mundan was performed by Aalim’s father.
“Your mundan was done by my dad,” he stated.
Abhishek responded warmly, recalling that Aalim’s father had also cut Amitabh Bachchan’s hair.
“Yes, your father did my mundan. His father used to cut my father’s hair, and now we’ve kept the tradition alive,” he remarked.
Abhishek then praised Aalim, calling him the best and greatest hairstylist ever.
On the acting front, Abhishek was most recently seen in Kaalidhar Laapata, directed by Madhumita. The film features Abhishek in the lead role as Kaalidhar, alongside Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and child actor Daivik Bhagela. It is the Hindi remake of Madhumita's 2019 Tamil film K.D.
The storyline revolves around a middle-aged man suffering from a progressive degenerative disease who discovers that his family intends to abandon him and attempts to escape into a fair. In this journey, he forms a bond with an orphaned boy.
Next, he will star in King, an action-thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. This film features Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan, and includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Rani Mukerji in supporting roles, with a planned theatrical release in 2026.
