Mumbai, May 26 (NationPress) Actress Aditi Rao Hydari expressed that even amidst difficulties and a tumultuous day at Cannes, she opted for joy and spontaneity.

Aditi shared a collection of photos on Instagram, showcasing her on a beach with the ocean and a pier as the backdrop. The sky overhead was filled with ominous grey clouds, indicating possible stormy weather.

In the snapshots, the actress donned a chic outfit in varying tones of blue, featuring a blend of checkered and floral designs, her hair styled in a tidy bun. Aditi was barefoot at the water's edge.

She remarked: “I Cannes despite all odds. My brief trip to Cannes was a roller coaster this year! … and on the one day I was there, the weather was stormy and rainy, with no sunshine and many anxious faces!”

“So I decided to seek my sunshine on a rainy day—tied up my hair, kicked off my slippers, and wandered onto the beach to draw circles in the sand … called out to the sun and the sun graciously responded … just in time… it did! By the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair tousled, and your eyes sparkling,” Aditi added.

The actress last appeared on the big screen in “Hey! Sinamika,” a Tamil-language romantic comedy directed by Brinda, marking her directorial debut. This film is an adaptation of the 2008 Argentine film “A Boyfriend for My Wife,” with the roles reversed.

The film stars Dulquer Salmaan alongside Aditi Rao Hydari as a married couple, with Kajal Aggarwal portraying a relationship counselor and Nakshatra Nagesh as a radio jockey. The story follows Yaazhan, a software engineer, whose wife, Mouna, begins to find him irritating and seeks to end their marriage.

In 2024, she appeared in the series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” taking on the role of Bibbojaan.

Set against the backdrop of the Indian independence movement during the 1940s, Heeramandi explores the lives of the tawaifs in the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore.

In addition to Aditi, the period drama showcased stellar performances from Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, and Taha Shah Badussha.

“Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” also marked the OTT debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
