Thiruvananthapuram, May 10 (NationPress) Renowned Malayalam comedian Hareesh Kanaran felt compelled to clarify his health status on social media after a false news story suggested he was gravely ill.
The actor reassured his followers of his well-being and criticized the dissemination of misinformation.
“A fabricated news item is making rounds on social media claiming that I am severely unwell. This misinformation started from an online portal. I request everyone to assist me in taking the necessary measures against those spreading these lies,” Kanaran stated.
His close friend and fellow mimicry performer, Nirmal Palazhi, also spoke out on social media to rebuff the rumors.
“Just last night, we shared the stage together. I am both shocked and saddened that such unfounded news about Kanaran is circulating. He became aware of it only after some media contacted him to confirm his health. We must unite against this type of fake reporting,” said Palazhi.
Originating from Kozhikode, Kanaran initiated his career as a mimicry artist with ‘Calicut Friends’ and subsequently established his own troupe.
