Mumbai, April 2 (NationPress) Choreographer-director Ahmed Khan, who plans to introduce his son Azaan to the industry this year, stated that even after nearly three decades in the film sector, he does not consider anyone a true friend in the business.

He emphasized that while he collaborates with numerous individuals in the industry, they remain his colleagues, and he honors the professional boundaries that exist among them.

In an interview with IANS, he remarked, “I have met many people in the film industry, but they are merely my colleagues. I don’t label anyone as a friend because I don’t socialize with anyone. I generally don’t party, drink, or host gatherings at home; we may have had one or two in all these years. So, we all are fundamentally colleagues, and discussions about personal matters are minimal.”

He further elaborated, “This is not standard practice here. However, they acknowledge that my son is growing up and often ask if he is ready. That level of conversation occurs, but we don't delve into discussions about our families at work. Such topics are not prioritized within our industry.”

Previously, Ahmed Khan mentioned that his son chose to pursue acting after gaining comprehensive knowledge of filmmaking. Azaan has been rigorously preparing for his upcoming Bollywood debut, which is set to commence this year.

Ahmed expressed that he does not believe there is a specific right or wrong moment to unveil a new talent.

He stated, “He’s 23, and we believe he’s ready to step onto the silver screen, which is his long-held aspiration. It’s not that he’s being forced into it; he has grown up as a technician's son, so he understands the complexities behind the camera and how to piece together a puzzle before it is finally presented.”
