Has Ajith Kumar Truly Been Crowned as the King with the Padma Bhushan?

Chennai, April 28 (NationPress) Director Adhik Ravichandran, who helmed the recent film Good Bad Ugly featuring actor Ajith Kumar, expressed his joy at the actor receiving the esteemed Padma Bhushan Award from President Droupadi Murmu on Monday, proclaiming that the king has been crowned.

Following the presentation of this prestigious accolade at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Adhik Ravichandran took to his social media account on X to share his excitement.

He posted a video of the award ceremony, stating, "King has been Crowned #PadmabhushanAjithKumar."

Adhik wasn't the only one celebrating; Ajith Kumar's racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, also shared their enthusiasm.

On their X account, the racing team expressed, "With immense pride, the entire crew at Venus Motorcycle Tours, Aspire World Tours, and Ajith Kumar Racing congratulates our CEO, Mr. Ajith Kumar, on receiving the prestigious Padma Award. We are thrilled to celebrate this moment with you and wish you numerous milestones ahead."

Ajith, looking sharp in formal attire, bowed with folded hands to the audience and the president as he received his award.

It’s noteworthy that when the news broke in January about Ajith Kumar being honored with the Padma Bhushan, he expressed his gratitude through his publicist.

His statement on X read, “I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive the esteemed Padma Award by the President of India. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon'ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this prestigious honour. It is a privilege to be recognized at such a level and I am truly grateful for this generous acknowledgment of my contributions to our nation.”

Ajith emphasized that this recognition was not just a personal achievement but a reflection of the collective efforts and support he has received over the years.

He expressed gratitude towards his colleagues in the film industry: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to the members of the film industry, including my distinguished seniors, various peers, and countless others. Your inspiration, collaboration, and support have been fundamental to my journey.”

Ajith also acknowledged the support from his rifle and racing community. “I am grateful for the support of the motor racing fraternity and the sports pistol and rifle shooting community. I thank the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), the National Rifle Association of India, and the Chennai Rifle Club for their encouragement.”

Continuing, he thanked his family and friends. “To my family and friends: Your love and support have been both a refuge and source of strength. I wish my late father could have witnessed this day. I believe he would be proud that his spirit and legacy live on in my work. I want to thank my mother for her unconditional love and sacrifices.”

Addressing his wife Shalini, Ajith reflected, “To Shalini, my wife and partner of nearly 25 years: Your companionship has been a joy and a cornerstone of my success. And to my children, Anoushka and Aadvik: You are my pride and the light of my life, motivating me to lead by example.”
