Chennai, Feb 7 (NationPress) Actor Ajith has always felt deeply unsettled by reports of murders, acid attacks, and various forms of harassment against women. He was determined to convey a powerful message through his film Vidaa Muyarchi, as revealed by the film’s director, Magizh Thirumeni.

The director, whose film premiered on Thursday featuring Ajith Kumar in the lead role, centers on a man's relentless efforts to showcase his love and care for his partner.

Expressing gratitude to the audience and fans for their overwhelmingly positive reception of the film, director Magizh Thirumeni stated, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to Ajith Kumar sir for the faith he placed in me. During our early discussions, he often expressed his desire to participate in a project that honors womanhood. This concept resonated with me, particularly due to my upbringing in a modest family. The support from Lyca Productions, who fully embraced our vision, was equally exhilarating. Securing backing from a production house renowned for delivering commercial hits with top-tier actors was remarkable.”

He further reminisced, “Ajith sir has always been emotionally affected by news involving murders, acid attacks, and various forms of harassment towards women, and he was eager to share a significant message through Vidaa Muyarchi.”

Despite the actor's faith in him, Magizh expressed some concerns.

“Even with all his confidence, I felt that as a director, he is a superstar and fans anticipate larger-than-life moments in his films. I endeavored to weave those elements into Vidaa Muyarchi. Nevertheless, he alleviated my concerns by emphasizing that the script revolved around the protagonist Arjun, a typical middle-class individual who resorts to non-violence until he reaches a point of desperation,” Magizh recounted, recalling Ajith's assurance that he had faith in his fans who have consistently supported his quest to create a significant film.

“Now, following the film's release, I realize that AK sir was absolutely correct in his confidence regarding his fans. The joy of a director lies in finding satisfaction in the outcome, and I am profoundly moved by the positive feedback from fans, theatre owners, critics, and industry insiders,” he remarked.
