Mumbai, May 8 (NationPress) Actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor revealed how her role as Dr. Prabhat in the series 'Gram Chikitsalay' significantly influenced her perspective on health and wellness. In a heartfelt discussion, she admitted that she previously tended to dismiss minor ailments while immersed in her work. Akansha recalled that her dedication often led her to ignore sickness, believing that rest and proper care were not always essential. However, portraying a doctor in 'Gram Chikitsalay' opened her eyes to the flaws in that attitude.
She shared with IANS, “I’ve resorted to some makeshift solutions—like dismissing a cut or a fever just to meet my shooting schedule. I used to think I could push through without rest or medication, which is far from healthy. But embodying Dr. Prabhat has truly reshaped my thoughts. I have transitioned from being a bit of a fixer-upper to realizing how crucial proper care is.”
When discussing her decision to take on the role, Akansha explained that she was attracted to 'Gram Chikitsalay' for the chance to portray a character that was both demanding and impactful. She mentioned that the character of Dr. Prabhat allowed her to engage with a new and significant storyline, particularly one that emphasizes healthcare and self-care—an area she had not always given the attention it deserved in her own life.
“Every time I choose a project, I have a mental checklist—and Gram Chikitsalay ticked all the boxes. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with TVF. Whenever I enjoyed a show, I realized TVF was the creative force behind it. Their writing is incredibly strong. Collaborating with Deepak Sir, Arunabh Sir, and being part of Prime Video was a significant milestone for me. It was also my first collaboration with Amol, which we had discussed earlier—so that was the final box checked,” she elaborated.
Created by Deepak Kumar Mishra, this Prime Video series features a script by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Shrivastava, directed by Rahul Pandey.
