Akshay Kumar Celebrates Twinkle Khanna's Achievements: A True 'Trophy Wife' Who Shines on Her Own

Mumbai, Dec 9 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar has expressed his admiration for Twinkle Khanna, whom he playfully called a 'trophy wife', after she received an award for her book titled 'Welcome To Paradise'.

He shared a picture on his Instagram stories of Twinkle holding her trophy and striking a pose.

Akshay captioned it: 'My trophy wife - literally. But she earns her own accolades. So proud of my Crossword Popular Choice Award Winner.'

'Welcome To Paradise' marks Twinkle's fourth literary work, featuring a compilation of five short stories, each spotlighting a central female character.

In November, Akshay proclaimed himself a 'proud husband' when Twinkle's 'brilliant' book was shortlisted for an award.

He took to Instagram to share a link encouraging votes for her book, stating: 'Proud husband alert! My brilliant wife's Welcome to Paradise has been shortlisted for the Crossword Books Award in the fiction category. If you like her work, now's the time to show some love and cast a vote.'

On the professional front, Akshay recently appeared in the Ajay Devgn film 'Singham Again' directed by Rohit Shetty.

This third installment of the 'Singham' franchise features a star-studded cast, including Ajay as Bajirao Singham, Ranveer Singh as Simmba, and Akshay as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, alongside Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and others.

Looking ahead, Akshay has 'Housefull 5', produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, set to feature stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sanjay Dutt, among many others.

Chunky Pandey will reprise his comedic role as Aakhri Pasta in this film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, which is slated for theatrical release on June 6, 2025.

The 'Housefull' series debuted in 2010 and has since produced three successful sequels: 'Housefull 2' in 2012, 'Housefull 3' in 2016, and 'Housefull 4' in 2019.
