In a special statement to IANS, Alisha described the challenge and emotional impact of portraying such powerful sentiments on-screen. The narrative underscores the vulnerability of relationships and the deep anguish that accompanies a loss of faith in a loved one. Reflecting on her character's emotional journey, Alisha expressed, “In this series, I wore an exquisite wedding saree that I adored — although the makeup sessions were quite lengthy. I had long envisioned my bridal look, and I was ecstatic with how it turned out.”

She continued, “I truly felt a wave of emotions while filming these scenes. Marriage represents a sacred bond founded on love and trust. Witnessing that trust shatter on-screen was truly heartbreaking. It’s never justifiable to betray someone who has entrusted you with their heart — I sincerely wish no one experiences such a betrayal in real life.”

“Shagun Mein Dhoka” forms part of the upcoming series “Dirty Scams” on Hungama OTT. This anthology presents individual stories featuring strong and fearless women who engage in audacious cons, each story infused with style, emotion, and unexpected twists. In the episode “Shagun Mein Dhoka,” Alisha Panwar portrays Maya — an enchanting yet shrewd bride whose narrative of love and deceit keeps viewers captivated throughout.

The anthology series “Dirty Scams” debuted on Hungama OTT, with the first two episodes, “Ishq Parlour” and “Aashram,” streaming from October 30, setting the stage for the gripping stories to follow. The subsequent episodes, “Shagun Mein Dhoka” and “Deemak,” were released on November 6, while the concluding episode, “Right Swipe,” is slated for release on November 13, promising a thrilling finale.
