Los Angeles, Jan 1 (NationPress) Actress Amy Schumer is welcoming the New Year while embracing her single journey. The talented performer provided her fans with a glimpse of her unique celebration through two posts on Instagram.

In a recent Instagram post, the newly single star was captured sitting alone on a couch in a softly lit space, as reported by People magazine.

She captioned the photo, "Happy New Year! #sensualphoto". In this image, she donned a loose T-shirt beneath a black hoodie, went without makeup, and styled her hair in a ponytail. In a humorous twist, she crossed her eyes and struck a silly pose while clutching a container of spaghetti.

According to People, Amy also featured the same photo in her Instagram Stories, adding the playful text, "Who's kissing this at midnight?" Just a few weeks prior, on December 12, she announced her separation from Chris Fischer, revealing that the couple had ended their marriage after seven years.

"Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years," the comedian shared in a since-deleted Instagram message. "We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time. blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he’s a hot James beard award-winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever (sic)."

A source close to the couple indicated, "There's nothing ugly. It's a cohesive split. They've just been finalizing a few things." The pair, who married in February 2018, share a son named Gene, born in May 2019.
