Mumbai, July 22 (NationPress) Television actress Anjum Fakih has openly shared her deep aspiration to work alongside producer Ekta Kapoor yet again.
The actress, known for her roles in hit series such as “Kundali Bhagya” and “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2,” revealed that she has always admired Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and the legendary K-series. When discussing the potential return of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,’ Anjum fondly reflected on the show’s remarkable legacy and expressed her excitement about possibly being part of a reboot. Fakih mentioned to IANS, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Aunty, Balaji Telefilms, and all the K-series. If given the chance, I would absolutely love to work with them again.”
Meanwhile, Anjum Fakih is preparing to step out of her comfort zone and embrace a new adventure with the upcoming reality show “Chhoriyan Chali Gaon.” She shared her enthusiasm for the show, saying, “Look, we’re city girls. Now if we get a chance to experience rural, countryside life—why would anyone say no?”
“Additionally, I don’t think I’ve encountered a concept like this before, even internationally. It’s incredibly fresh, innovative, and thrilling. I believe the audience will find it genuinely entertaining to observe how city girls adapt to rural life. I am both nervous and excited. Even though I was born in a village, I haven’t visited in over fifteen years. The opportunity to explore a different village feels novel, and I’m unsure of what to expect. But that’s what adds to the excitement—this sense of curiosity and unpredictability.”
Anjum also mentioned that while she is somewhat acquainted with village life, she has never engaged in traditional rural activities herself. “I’ve only seen these things on TV or in films,” she recalled, reminiscing about her childhood. “During summer holidays, I watched my grandmother doing all this in our village, but I never got the chance to try it myself.”
She confessed that the thought of cooking on a chulha is intimidating. “I do know that if you blow into the chulha, the smoke burns your eyes like anything! So, I don’t know how I’ll manage,” she laughed.
Zee TV’s upcoming rural reality show “Chhoriyan Chali Gaon,” hosted by Rannvijay Singha, will showcase 11 independent women from urban backgrounds as they abandon their city luxuries to face the simplicity—and challenges—of life in rural India.
