Mumbai, May 21 (NationPress) Actor Ankit Siwach’s new film, “Madam Driver”, has secured a prestigious place at the New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), where it will be featured alongside works from renowned artists like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, and Neena Gupta.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Ankit, who currently stars in the series “Kull”, stated: “I was overwhelmed, very happy. The director, Indrajeet sir, the entire team, and I are all thrilled that Madam Driver is being screened at NYIFF.”

The film is portrayed as an experimental slice-of-life drama, notable for its unique style. “It’s an experimental film, shot entirely on an iPhone, and it employs a different narrative technique,” he explained.

Ankit added: “I am truly hoping for a positive response. It’s incredibly special to be listed among films featuring such talented artists and directors.”

When asked what differentiates Madam Driver for an international platform like NYIFF, Ankit emphasized its daring structure. “The film has a distinctive shooting style and production approach. Its runtime is a featurette, about 1 hour and 5 minutes. In an age where audiences have shorter attention spans, this film length could resonate well for future theatrical releases.”

Discussing his role in “Kull”, Ankit reflected on his personal connection: “My first show in 2017, Chakravyuhu, featured me as a cop. Since then, I’ve always felt I could have done more with the character of Adhiraj.”

“I have long wished to portray a cop again, bringing to life all those elements I wished to explore in Chakravyuhu. I’ve been subconsciously studying people in that role, influenced by police officers in my family,” he shared.

“Kull” delves into a dysfunctional family, examining strained relationships within a debauched royal lineage.

The JioHotstar-Balaji Digital series offers a glimpse into the dark and perilous world of the Raisinggh family. Premiering on May 2, it also stars Amol Parashar, Riddhi Dogra, Gaurav Arora, Rohit Tiwari, and Rahul Vohra.

The captivating saga is crafted by Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, directed by Sahir Raza, and produced by Balaji Digital.
