Mumbai, Oct 5 (NationPress) Television actress Ankita Lokhande captured attention on Sunday as she honored the iconic Sridevi by emulating the beloved actress' look from the classic film “Chandni”.

With a contemporary flair, Ankita seamlessly merged timeless grace with modern fashion. Sharing her stunning photos on Instagram, the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ star donned a vibrant yellow saree, complemented with a white necklace and stud earrings. She finished her refined appearance with a delicate bindi and red kangans. In the snapshots, Ankita elegantly posed for the camera, opting for subtle makeup and a chic high ponytail.

In her caption, the contestant from ‘Bigg Boss 17’ expressed, “Some stories don’t begin with words…they begin with a gaze, a breeze, a moment written by destiny. Ankita’s appearance in the yellow saree beautifully evokes memories of Sridevi’s everlasting charm. Directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra, the film featured Sridevi in the titular role of Chandni Mathur, a vivacious young woman caught between two suitors portrayed by Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna. The movie also showcased talented actors like Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Juhi Chawla, Sushma Seth, Mita Vashisht, and Manohar Singh in supporting roles.

Released on September 14, 1989, the film was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, becoming the third highest-grossing Hindi film of that year.

On the work front, Ankita recently appeared on the popular TV cooking reality show Laughter Chefs 2 alongside her husband Vicky Jain.
