What New Films Has Anshuman Jha Unveiled as His Production Banner Turns 10?

Mumbai, Sep 16 (NationPress) As his production banner celebrates a decade of creativity, actor-filmmaker Anshuman Jha has officially revealed a lineup of six exciting films scheduled for release within the next year.

Among these, three films are set to hit theaters in the upcoming six months, while the other three are currently in the production phase. The journey begins with Anshuman Jha’s directorial debut, “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli,” followed by Harish Vyas’s touching father-son coming-of-age story, “Hari Ka Om,” and the much-anticipated sequel, “Lakadbaggha 2,” which completed shooting earlier this year.

“Independent filmmaking is rooted in faith and passion,” stated Anshuman, who is not only an actor but also the producer and founder of First Ray Films.

Looking ahead to 2026, Anshuman anticipates three new productions, including “Bajrangi,” directed by visionary Parth Saurabh, and “Ovi & The Monk,” the debut feature from Emerson Boston Graduate Jasraj Padhaye.

“Bajrangi” is set in the heartland of Bihar, presenting a raw and earthy drama that redefines the concept of service in modern India, offering a fresh perspective on tradition and responsibility.

On the other hand, “Ovi & The Monk” narrates the courageous journey of a young boy named Ovi, who, after losing his father during the pandemic, treks through the Himalayas to reunite a stranded dog, named Monk, with its owner, discovering themes of compassion, bravery, and duty along the way.

The third project is an untitled genre film set in Mumbai at the turn of the millennium, featuring an acclaimed Indian filmmaker exploring the lives of twins.

Reflecting on this significant milestone, Anshuman remarked: “I have always maintained that films do not fail; rather, budgets do. Our survival for over a decade speaks volumes about the audiences who are open to embracing fresh, disruptive, and sincere narratives.”

He expressed his gratitude to the investors whose faith has driven the company’s success, noting that their belief demonstrates that films can have a cultural impact while also being financially viable, akin to what A24 has achieved globally.

He added: “My ambition is to create an ecosystem that endures beyond my time. Previously, First Ray Films has delivered the social media thriller “Mona_Darling,” the LGBTQ+ road trip film “Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele,” and the animal-lover vigilante action film “Lakadbaggha.”
