Anu Aggarwal Remembers Filming a Romantic Song with an Unknown Co-Star
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 5 (NationPress) Actress Anu Aggarwal took a nostalgic journey on Sunday morning, reminiscing about her experience of filming a romantic song with a co-star she barely knew.
The star shared stills from an iconic number in her celebrated film Aashiqui, bringing forth a flood of memories.
During her reflection, Anu disclosed how she had to convey profound romantic emotions despite the unfamiliarity with her co-actor at that time.
Though she did not specify the film or the actor, she expressed, “The next day, I was back on set. Shooting a love song. With someone I barely knew—definitely not in love with. She wasn’t me. She was a character. But I learned how to find what was real within me that matched the role—and give it to her. That’s where building a character begins (sic).”
She elaborated, “And then you live her—in the minutiae: how she thinks, how she feels, even how she navigates everyday moments. I don’t just love acting. It’s my nature.”
In another post shared the previous day, Anu also recounted an incident from the same period of her life.
She described how she was so deeply engrossed in a scene that she ended up injuring her hand during the shoot.
Despite the injury, she returned to the set the very next day, resolute in her commitment to continue her work.
She stated, “Some moments on screen… don’t arise from acting alone. On the sets of Aashiqui, I delved so deeply into the emotion that the line between performance and reality blurred. I injured my hand during that shot. In my twenties, living independently and discovering my path, I was learning quickly—about the craft and about myself.”
She concluded, “That’s when I realized—I go all in. And I must be conscious of how deep I go. The next morning, I was back on set—on time. Doing my own hair and makeup. Once I commit, I deliver. And that hasn’t changed (sic).”
