Mumbai, Oct 10 (NationPress) Anupam Kher expressed his delight after meeting British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at a special reception aimed at celebrating the UK-India partnership. The renowned actor revealed that the political figure is a significant admirer of his inaugural English film, 'Bend It Like Beckham', released in 2002.
Anupam posted a photo on Instagram of himself alongside Starmer, who was welcomed with the beloved anthem 'Tujhe Dekha To' from the iconic 1995 film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)” at Yash Raj Films.
“Meeting British Prime Minister Mr. #KeirStarmer last night at the UK-INDIA partnership reception was a pleasure,” Anupam wrote as the caption.
He noted that Starmer’s speech was filled with optimism regarding the future ties between India and the UK.
