Mumbai, Sep 21 (NationPress) Actress Anya Singh, who portrays a talent manager in the newly released streaming series ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’, has articulated the significance of an artist maintaining their stance amidst the pressures from various aspects of filmmaking.
The actress shared her thoughts with IANS in the BKC district of Mumbai during the promotional events for the show, referencing the iconic Yash Raj Films leader Aditya Chopra, who remained steadfast with his debut film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, which challenged many established norms of Hindi cinema at the time.
She remarked, “‘DDLJ’ was realized solely because Aditya Chopra adhered to his vision and created what he envisioned. I genuinely believe, and my fellow co-actors share this belief, that ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’ offers something unprecedented, particularly on Indian OTT platforms. This uniqueness stems from Aryan Khan’s unwavering vision, writing, and character development; he remained committed to his creative decisions.”
She continued, “I recall a moment where I expressed to him, ‘I think it’s a bit excessive’. His response was, ‘But that’s the character’. His focus was always on understanding the character’s motivations, regardless of potential public opinions, acknowledging that today’s audience holds strong views.”
“He simply declared that this is his world, and this is how it will unfold. Hence, we all followed his lead without hesitation, as we had immense faith in his vision,” she added.
‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ is now available for streaming on Netflix.
