Los Angeles, Dec 21 (NationPress) Hollywood sensation Ariana Grande delivered her own unique version of Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday tune, ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’, during her hosting stint on ‘Saturday Night Live’.

Her monologue humorously tackled the challenges of selecting gifts for acquaintances and less familiar friends, titled ‘What Do I Get for Christmas for This Dude?’, as reported by ‘Variety’.

This episode marked the festive edition of the 51st season of ‘Saturday Night Live’, with Grande as the host and the legendary Cher as the musical guest.

According to ‘Variety’, it was also the final episode for cast member Bowen Yang, who announced his departure from the show just prior to the episode. Yang, who previously collaborated with Grande in ‘Wicked’ and this year’s ‘Wicked: For Good’, joined her on stage for the playful rendition of Carey’s classic.

Grande expressed, “December is my favorite time of year in New York. I adore the decorations and the snow. Shopping for loved ones is a joy, but I must confess, I feel a bit stressed when it comes to certain people in my life.”

The audience at ‘Saturday Night Live’ erupted with applause when they recognized Grande’s playful take on ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’.

“I’m not sure what to get for my cousin’s boyfriend, Steve. I hardly know him and only see him on Christmas Eve,” she joked.

She also humorously referenced her relentless press tour for ‘Wicked: For Good’, quipping about her director Jon M. Chu not allowing any breaks.

“I haven’t had much time to shop for Christmas, as my schedule is packed. So much press for ‘Wicked’, and Jon Chu won’t even let me take a bathroom break,” she added.

When Yang joined her on stage, Grande teased him about his minimal dialogue in ‘Wicked’. He humorously responded, “Thank you for appreciating my line in ‘Wicked’,” to which Grande quipped, “You’re welcome.” Yang then reminded her, “Actually, that was my line.” This Saturday’s episode marked Grande’s third time as host of ‘SNL’.
