Actor-model Asim Riaz has launched a sharp public rebuttal against former girlfriend Himanshi Khurana, addressing claims around religious differences that surfaced after she appeared on a podcast hosted by Paras Chhabra. Riaz's social media post, shared on 24 August, directly contested Himanshi's account and took pointed aim at Chhabra.

Riaz categorically denied ever asking anyone to change their religion. In his post, he wrote: 'I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You've been in this shape only after meeting me, before that, everyone knew how you looked.'

He escalated further, writing: 'So please, don't use religion as a weapon. It's a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you're willing to go for attention and when it came to my career, I never needed anyone to build it for me or claim credit for what they never contributed.'

On the subject of finances, Riaz added: 'Who has more money and who has less? Well, if you really want to know, the bank statements can settle that. But money was never the measure of character. Character is how far you're willing to fall when you're desperate for attention, relevance, or a few more views.'

The Dig at Paras Chhabra

Without naming Paras Chhabra directly, Riaz made his target clear: 'And to the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession, brother, respectfully, I'd suggest spending a little less time discussing other people's lives and a little more time in the gym.'

The remark was widely read as a reference to Chhabra, who hosted the podcast on which Himanshi spoke about her past relationship.

What Himanshi Khurana Had Said

During her appearance on Paras Chhabra's podcast, Himanshi Khurana discussed how religious differences had affected her former relationship, though she did not name Riaz. She alleged that her then-partner had spoken to her about his religion and wanted her to understand and accept it — something she declined, saying it would amount to betraying her own faith.

Himanshi also recalled reaching a point where she wondered whether she would be 'cremated or buried' if she accepted another faith — a remark that drew significant public attention.

Riaz and Khurana first connected on Bigg Boss 13, where their bond developed into a romantic relationship. Riaz had famously proposed to Himanshi when she re-entered the show as his connection.
