Mumbai, Jan 4 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana is moving past the holiday spirit as he prepares to film his anticipated project ‘Thama’.

Mumbai, Jan 4 (NationPress) Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana is shifting his focus to 2025, putting aside the festive atmosphere as he is ready to commence shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Thama’.

Following a brief filming stint in Mumbai late last year, the crew is now prepared to capture some thrilling scenes as they kick off production early next week in the national capital, continuing through the first half of January.

‘Thama’ is described as a ‘bloody love story’, and is part of Maddock’s successful horror comedy universe. The film promises to deliver a captivating love narrative set against a gory backdrop, featuring a stellar cast that includes Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, alongside Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

This project is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his work on ‘Munjya’, with a script penned by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.

The year 2025 looks to be bustling for Ayushmann with two films lined up for release: one being ‘Thama’, set to premiere on the significant occasion of Diwali, and another untitled action thriller in collaboration with Dharma and Sikhya Productions.

Sources indicate that he is also slated to begin filming for two more films, one directed by Sooraj Barjatya, a touching family drama, and another with Sameer Saxena, produced under a joint venture between Yash Raj Films and Posham Pa Pictures, expected to be a genre-bending theatrical experience.

Previously, Ayushmann Khurrana, who was recently honored as the ‘Future Leader for One ASIA’ at the 22nd Unforgettable Gala, expressed pride in how Indian cinema is breaking barriers across demographics, cultures, and languages.

The actor emphasized his belief in cinema's ability to connect with everyone and expressed his delight in witnessing Indian cinema achieving this milestone. He was recognized at the Gala alongside Joan Chen, a Chinese-American actress and Oscar judge, and Hiroyuki Sanada, a globally acclaimed actor known for his roles in Shogun and the John Wick franchise.
