In a candid conversation with IANS, Babil discussed his upcoming film ‘Logout’, his social media followers, and the enduring legacy of his father, Irrfan Khan.
When questioned about his exposure to Irrfan Khan's performances from the 90s, he remarked, "I haven't watched Chandrakanta, though I have seen most of his films, but not many from the 90s." He further elaborated, "I've only seen a few scenes from Chandrakanta, but not the entire series."
Babil also reflected on Irrfan Khan's involvement in projects at FTII during the 90s. He expressed, "After NSD, he was engaged in numerous projects at FTII. I believe that when someone dedicates themselves so deeply to their craft, they continue to live on through their work."
Previously, Babil shared a particular scene that significantly impacted him as an actor. He told IANS, "A specific moment near the end where he delivers a powerful line truly resonated with me. There’s a point where he addresses his fans, saying, 'Please don’t follow me.' He delves into the real truth of his validation needs, stemming from being distanced from his parents due to the phone and social media. I don't want to give away too much, but there's a dialogue where I slap my father. We had to shoot that scene 20 times from various angles, and reliving that moment each time was incredibly challenging. That scene completely shook me."
