Mumbai, May 22 (NationPress) Singer and politician Babul Supriyo expresses admiration for Hollywood icon Tom Cruise and his motivational lessons on achieving dreams with relentless enthusiasm and steadfast resolve.
On Instagram, Supriyo shared a clip from an interview with Cruise, where the star was asked, "What advice would you offer to individuals struggling to be courageous?"
Cruise, who is set to appear in ‘Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning’, responded: "You must first jot down your dream and then create a plan detailing how to achieve it. Consider what skills you need to learn in order to reach those aspirations. That’s my approach (sic)."
"I avoid sitting idle worrying. I just dive into action. Don't fret if fear creeps in. Embrace it; it's a normal feeling. The fear you experience stems from the unknown. Acknowledge that it's okay not to have all the answers and strive towards gaining knowledge," he explained.
Cruise highlighted the necessity of taking gradual actions instead of being paralyzed by overthinking.
"The key is to not get trapped in your mind but to begin acting, one step at a time. When I train others or myself, I remind myself to learn to crawl before I can walk, to walk before jogging, to jog before running, and to run before I sprint. Eventually, I’ll leap out of a plane or off a cliff before I actually do it,” he added.
In his caption, Supriyo remarked: "I find this segment from Tom Cruise's interview particularly relevant in this 'Mad Mad Dog Eat Dog World' (sic). I have always appreciated this quote by Mark Twain: ‘I have had a thousand frightful dreams, but very few actually occurred.’”
He continued: "The fear of the unknown is arguably the most detrimental trait that can hinder you along your 'Own Path' journey…"
The upcoming Mission: Impossible film intricately weaves together elements from the franchise's 30-year history into its narrative.
This latest chapter follows Cruise's character Ethan Hunt and his team as they confront a powerful artificial intelligence known as the Entity, which poses a global threat if misused or allowed to operate unchecked, as first introduced in the 2023 film Dead Reckoning.
“Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning” is set to premiere in theaters on May 23.
