Chennai, Feb 15 (NationPress) Thrilled by the extraordinary music that Thaman has been delivering for his recent blockbuster films, Telugu superstar Balakrishna has gifted the talented music director a brand new Porsche car.
Images capturing Balakrishna handing over the Porsche to Thaman have gone viral across social media platforms.
Thaman, currently composing the score for Balakrishna's upcoming film Akhanda 2, has become the actor's favorite music director since providing the soundtrack for Akhanda 1.
The film Akhanda was a massive success, running for 100 days in over 100 theaters and achieving an impressive 175-day run in one location.
With a production budget reportedly the highest for a Balakrishna film, Akhanda generated substantial revenue. The success prompted director Boyapati Sreenu and Balakrishna to collaborate again, with the music being a standout feature. Balakrishna even stated, “You (Thaman) are one of the heroes of the film.”
Since Akhanda, Thaman has been the music director for every Balakrishna film, including Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and the latest Daaku Maharaaj, all of which have been box office hits.
So impressed was Balakrishna with Thaman's work that after Daaku Maharaj, he remarked that the music director is now regarded as family. “People no longer refer to him as Thaman, but as Nandamuri Thaman,” he noted in a media interview.
Currently, Thaman is working on the music for Akhanda 2: Thandavam, set to release on September 25 this year for Dussehra.
Notably, the film's production began at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Alongside Balakrishna and Aadhi, the film will also feature Samyuktha Menon, who was welcomed by the team recently.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, the movie boasts cinematography by C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae, with editing by Tammiraju and art direction by AS Prakash.
